do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

PS
When I researched you, it stated your casualty date was March 15th, and this site indicates it was April 15th. I apologize for the confusion.

Thank You
Dear Cpl Clarence Lewis, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. I researched you on your 52nd anniversary, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Spring! It is Holy Week, and Passover starts tonight. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Uncle Clarence
I would like to thank you for your courage and ultimate sacrifice. I never met you and wasn’t born until 10 years after your untimely death, but I’m your baby brother, Donald Ray’s daughter. My grandmother, your mom, Gussie Lewis has told me many stories about you. She is still here living at age 101! I’ve met your daughter Rochelle that lives in California, and your wife! I’m honored to have an uncle that fought for us.
