A Letendre Legacy

I am also a proud Letendre Marine veteran, as was my brother who was lost to us in Iraq. I know too well the feeling of a lifetime lost when a loved one doesn't return. I will visit your name and carry your memory as often as I can. Your sacrifice will be remembered. SEMPER FI

My Dear Brother

I have many memories of you, but the one that returns to me like a clip from a film is this. I interrupted you shining your shoes to say good bye as you were headed to the west coast Camp Pendleton. You looked up at me and your face was red and there were tears in your eyes. I got this awful feeling in my chest that I had never experienced before. I never saw you again. I have dreamed more than 100 times that you walked back into our lives and it was all a mistake. You are gone but will always be with me in spirit.
