73th Birthday

"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived"

I Knew You In Vietnam

Bill - You were in my Company (E Co., 2nd Bn., 26th Marine Regiment) during your 1st tour of VN. I was in a different platoon, but I knew you through Mike Jordan, your squad member and our mutual friend. We were only able to interact (i.e., have a beer or 2 and BS) on those rare occasions when we were out of the boonies and back at Phu Bai.

I have recently been in contact with your brother, Paul, and, in turn, put him in touch with Mike Jordan. Mike is going to send several VN pictures of you to Paul.

You are not forgotten, Bill. We’ll see you later.

Thank You

Dear Cpl William Leonard, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Spring! For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Did you know my brother Bill?

Over the years I've been trying to find information regarding my brothers final days. I've been able to acquire copies of his military records and have the official story. However I would very much like to hear from some of his military brothers who might have served with him. Especially if you served with him in Vietnam during either his first or especially his second tour. It's getting late, Bill would have been 71 on May 4, 2019. I'll be 70 on May 9 so I would love to hear from you before it's to late and the story passes unrecorded into history. If you served with Bill and would care to pass on your story I would love to hear from you. You can contact me via e-mail and thanks for your service.
