Remembered

DEAR PFC BEAN,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AS AN INDIRECT FIRE INFANTRYMAN WITH THE HOWITZER BATTERY. ARTILLERYMEN WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART. IT IS STILL THE CHRISTMAS SEASON.AND WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU. IT IS NEW YEAR, WHICH MAKES IT FAR TOO LONG FOR YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE.

Uncle James

I know you died before I was born. I want you to know that I love you. I named my son after you. Dad misses you a lot and I have seen photos of you. You are missed dearly by your siblings and by your 3 nieces and 2 nephews and 4 great nephews. See you one day.
Love your nice

So Long Buggsey

I see Pat Lindley posted. I too remember you well. We went to grade school at Good Shepherd and then to Jesuit together. At Jesuit we rode together every day from Garland. My Dad gave you a job after graduating until you left for the service. I remember just before you went I got to see you at my Dads work - me home from college and you heading to Nam. I was a pall bearer at your funeral and went with my folks to visit your family. So sad, but i was so glad I did. You were a monument to perseverance no matter what. I remember you often.

God bless and keep you and please pray for me!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC James Francis Bean, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
