Today's Thought....

This fine man's name is in my mouth and on my heart, today... April 17th, 2023.

Your efforts and actions still are remembered by people you've never met, yet you've greatly impacted. I pray for your family, your soul, and our Nation. You ran your race and fought the good fight. I am proud to tell your story to yet another generation.

Your Friend,

Trail of Heroes

Little did I know when I bought my POW/MIA bracelet 50 years ago with his name on it, I would be part of the same journey but with a much different ending. I volunteered and served in the USAF at Udorn RTAFB in northern Thailand 1972 ... the year after he went missing. We were the largest F-4 base in SEA at the time. We supported missions out of Vietnam into Laos. My job on occasion was to provide technical help to the Lima sites during the Secret War. These were lookout and tracking positions. I went to LS-13 near That Viang. I wore his bracelet then as I do today. I came home to an ungrateful nation. He never came home and I never forgot that. Humbling. Band of Brothers.
