The Silver Bracelet

I recently bought the silver bracelet with your name on it at a rummage sale. I snatched it up thinking how disrespectful that it was in a sale of this type. I immediately went home and did my research. I'm so sorry things ended the way they did for you and so many others. Thank you for your service and rest in peace.

What a beautiful honor!

I myself also wore the silver bracelet with his name on it and yes it was Major. As we spoke with the person at the memorial in DC she stated he was posthumously awarded Lt. Col. after his death. I have never forgotten his name. I prayed for his return. I was probably 10 years old when I wore it in the early 1970’s.

Lt. Col. Darel Leeton

I received a bracelet with his name in the early 70's. My bracelet shows him as a Major. Reading these posts I learn that he is a true warrior and hero. His decorations including the AF Cross say everything about the man. I also served in Vietnam in 1969 to 1970. I will cherish his bracelet along with my military things. RIP Warrior

honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.
