Photo of Cemetery Marker, Johnson-Lee Cemetery
Today marks 47 years since Ronald fell on 21 November 1967; his first cousin & I went to his grave today and this photo is from our visit. We have heard that his commanding officer visited his grave last year and may go each year on this date; we heard the story about Ronald going after a sniper who had them penned down and was immediately hit. He had said he would go because his commanding officer's wife was expecting a baby; we feel that, even if he could have known the outcome, he would still have gone because he would have rather it to be him to be hit than for it to be the father of the expected child. If this man or anyone who knew Ronald reads this posting, we would appreciate if you could contact us at [email protected] Linda Seale

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Roy Ronald Lee, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

Your cousin Janice is my friend!
I did not ever get to meet you but Janice and I were in school together for 12 years. She is a very close friend. Each time I go to the Wall I go by & find your name; I photographed your name and had a name rubbing done by one of the Volunteers. I gave those to Janice and she recently gave them to your mother. Your mother is doing good and asked Janice 'how did she know him?' Janice said 'she didn't but she knows me'. I am honored to have gotten to know you through Janice. Today, 11-21-2011, the anniversary of your passing, I am thinking about you and plan to spend some time learning about the place and battle where you died. Janice has two beautiful daughters, Lisa & Tammy and three wonderful Grandchildren. I will always remember you and your sacrifice for our freedom. Freedom is not Free!
