Ron was my big brother in OCS 1966

Long time coming. God Bless.
Ron and I carried the U.S. and Texas flags, respectively at UT in Austin. Then, years later, we happened upon each other as I was checking in to OCS in May of '66. He asked me to be his 'Little Brother'.

Oddly enough I became a Helicopter Instructor and flew (commercially) for many year, in all capacities, firefighting, tour, GOM etc. all over the U.S. As an instructor in my later years, one of the FAA Designated Examiner that tested my student, I found out in a casual conversation about Nam, was Ron's CO in Nam.

OCS Classmate

I was a classmate of his in OCS from June 66 to graduation on 22 NOV 66. I was in the 3rd platoon and he in the 2nd. He always wore a smile on his face and seemed to be a very good guy. Heard he made a great officer as well.
