We Will Remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Remember without knowing
As a fellow Layfield, we never met. I am five years younger and did not serve due to the lottery. Whether we are related or not, thank you for your service and courage. We who remain hold you fondly in our hearts.

My Dad's buddy in Vietnam
My dad was William Harrell and was one of Don's buddies when they were there. He carried a patch from him that day, and many years later laid it at the wall. I have never seen my dad shed a tear except that day my mom said. My father retired from the Army and passed from agent orange. I have visited the wall to see his name for honor, respect and remembrance. Thank you for being my fathers friend in such a tough world.
