55 years seems like yesterday
Mike,
12/24/23 will be 55 years since we said our final goodbye and you were laid to rest. I continue to talk about you, I pray my boys have shared with my grandkids what a hero you are, I know your spirit will live in my boys, even after I am gone, they definitely know all about their Uncle Mike . As each year passes, you somehow think, the next year will be easier, nope, it only gets harder, thinking about all the what if’s, the family milestones that you have not physically been here to share with us. The saving grace is knowing that you are with us in spirit and someday, someday we will all be together again. I love you and miss you, please continue to watch over us and protect us.

You are still such a part of our lives
Today is Veterans Day … it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything but not because I’ve ever forgotten you but because the hurt never goes away or never gets easier. I have 2 boys that know all about you and I hope and pray that they make sure all my grand kids know about what a hero you are to me and all of my family. The peace I have in my heart is knowing you are with so many of our love ones, mom, Gale, aunt Ruth and Aunt Peg. Until we meet again know not a day goes by that I don’t think of you, talk to you and know you are truly at peace. You are my hero and will always be my hero!!!

Thank You
Dear Sgt Michael Lawton, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Operations & Intelligence Specialist. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is the 1st full day of spring. Happy Spring! For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
