Remembering An American Hero
Dear FSGT Rodney John Lawson, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

For the family
To his family:BRBRI posted an earlier rememberance on this site. The guys are now getting together for reunions and communicate by email. We have been in contact with a number of family members of those who did not return. If you have questions or would like to contact the guys who served with him please send me an email at [email protected]. I will be more than happy to help in any way I can and I will forward your communication to the group. BRBRI know this may sound somewhat sterile or distant. That is not my intention. I really do not know what to say to you. But if I or the guys are able to answer questions or provide insights that will be helpful to you, we want to do that. I assure you that we all share your grief. Our hearts go out to you. We will always do all we can for the families. We owe it to you. BR
