A photo from the 1961 Middletown High School yearbook, Middletown, CA of William Ernest Adams. He is dressed in Army "greens" rather than Marine Corps "dress blues".
He had enlisted in the Army, then reenlisted in the Marine Corps. Total service time of 8 years.

Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.

Sergeant Adams was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor for his exemplary courage under fire while serving with Golf Co, 2nd Bn, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division.
