Every Memorial Day I sit and think how things would be if you weren’t killed in Nam but I know I couldn’t have changed your mind about enlisting and you died doing everything you could to make things right. As long as I am alive you will be remembered today and always.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from your brother (?) Paul are especially poignant. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

Tom every year on Memorial Day I sit around with my family and tell them stories about us growing up. How proud we were when you enlisted in the Marines. How devastating it was to learn of your death. That awful knock on the door to give us the terrible news you were dead.. I will always keep you close to my heart. Miss you so.

It is a HONOR to have known such A PERSON as THOMAS or TOMMY as we have called HIM. I will Remember HIS ETERNAL SOUL AS LONG AS I LIVE . I hope I will Meet Him One Day with OUR HEAVENLY FATHER THE ALMIGHTY GOD . If I am worthy to go there where the streets are PAVED IN GOLD. TO A DEAR FRIEND, THOMAS BAYES.
