THE WALL OF FACES

Dear Bruce, We never met because I was born after you left this earth, but I've heard about you many times in my lifetime. Now I tell my children about you and your sacrifice. Thank you for your service and for your sacrifice. I want to assure you that your family, even those you never met, have not forgotten you. May God bless you and your brothers in arms.

Dear PFC Bruce Large, Thank you for your service as a Mortarman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I thought about your sacrifice, an inspiration to me at MCRD Parris Island in 1970.
