I new L/Cpl William Dean Laraway well

My name is/was L/Cpl Roger Twitchell or "Twitch" as I was known to CAC Marines at Cau Hai. We were Tiger Hotel 5 consisting of two squads I was in one squad, Laraway in the other. I was in service with Laraway. We always used Last Names.

I served with Dean in Cau Hai. Dean feared nothing. His actions saved our Corpsman Doc Burford (Lawson Burford) and him laying down the base of fire with the M-60 dusbursed the enemy which out numbered us by about 5 to 1. I'll never forget how heroic he was. Dale Berman (Formally Dale Marusich-Found my biological father.
