Ground Casualty

SP4 Thomas D. Lanman served with the 567th Transportation Company, 7th Transportation Battalion, 4th Transportation Command, Army Support Command Saigon. The 7th Transportation Battalion performed line haul (military convoy) missions, local haul, and Saigon Port Clearance operations. The battalion supplied military cargo to forward areas where combat operation took place. Lanman’s MOS (duties) were traffic management and coordinating movement of supplies; however, he also drove trucks. On September 17, 1967, he was driving a military vehicle when involved in a head-on collision with a truck. Lanman sustained fatal injuries in the incident. Thank You

Dear Sp4 Thomas Lanman, Thank you for your service as a Traffic Management Coordinator. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
