Lieutenants Together
Bruce and I joined the 2nd Armored Cavalry's 3rd Squadron in Amberg, Germany within months of each other. We commanded company-sized units there at the same time and lived in apartments in the same stairwell. Bruce was a superb young officer, a respected leader, and a wonderful, fun-loving friend. I think of him and his family often and always on Memorial Day. The nation was blessed to have him step forward as a leader when it needed such good men.

Thank You
Dear Captain Bruce Langaunet, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

A few weeks back, I found a document signed by my Platoon Leader 1LT Bruce Langaunet, M Troop, 3/2 ACR (1967), wondering what became of him, I Googled his name only to discover he is on the Memorial Wall. It is fitting to remember him today, a terrific officer, all around good guy and I miss our basketball games.
