Final Mission of SP5 Jack D. Lanelli
On August 31, 1965, a U.S. Army helicopter UH-1B (tail number 62-04591) from the 118th Air Mobile Light (later the 118th Aviation Company) was involved in an accident in which one crewman, crew chief SP5 Jack D. Lanelli, and two passengers were killed (names unknown). SP5 Lanelli reportedly was killed by small arms fire. [Taken from armyaircrews.com and vhpa.org]
