Courage and Contribution
The courage you put forward was most admirable, especially at a time of an unpopular war. The contribution you made to the legacy of the nursing profession has made itself felt. At times of dire and urgent need is when people like you come forward to serve, and ones like you make a difference. I am a Vietnam veteran too and I am now retired military living in Illinois. I wish I could have met you in real life. I will always honor your memory.

Lt Lane and all Nurses
To the person that is a nurse, I have a very good idea what city the wall was at 11-15 Sep. I know, I was there those 4 days myself. I wish I had met you there and we could have talked of my experiences in RVN 67-68. I was stationed south of Chu Lai, in a place called Duc Pho. Every time I see the "Wall" I look up Sharon's name and say a small prayer along with the others i personally knew. As I drive by the Armory on Geo Jr Rd, it will never be the same, it now has a 300ft long stretch of Hallowed Ground. I live near Katies Corners and drive that road almost daily. COD BLESS our military, past present and future. Jim

To Nurses Everywhere:
The Moving Wall came to my city today; Sharon was the only woman's name on the wall. As a nurse myself I couldn't help but pray that I could be so brave as to enlist in the armed services. Blessings to nurses everywhere and especially to Sharon's family
