Paying my respects on this his anniversary.

I was several years behind Bob at Moses Brown and always looked up to him with the highest regard...his leadership in sports (football and track), as a class officer, as a student representative on various committees, and just as a good guy. Despite the three year age difference, I got to know him as my dad would car pool us to school from Woonsocket (along with Bob's classmate Fred B) and head off Rt 146 down Albion Rd to pick him up. I remember their upper class men conversations from the back seat like they were yesterday. I had marked today on my calendar as the 50th anniversary of Bob death in Vietnam and visited his grave site in East Providence this morning, saying a few words to him and leaving a sand dollar on his stone. Bob, you left us far too soon and I know the world would be a better place if you were still here. You are truly missed. Rest in peace my friend. Wade

To Bob, Rest in Peace

Bob and I sat next to each other for about 4 months in the US Army Counter Intelligence Officer course at Ft. Holabird, MD in the Spring of 1969, both recently commissioned MI Officers, getting ready for what would lie ahead for us during that difficult time. He was a great guy, smart, serious, and fun. We went our separate ways that summer and I subsequently learned of his death less than a year later. I followed his service in Vietnam as a MACV District Team Advisor in 1971, not far from where he was killed. His sacrifice was honorable and ultimate, may we never forget. Sincere condolences to his family and friends, Bob Lenehan, Scotch Plains, NJ

Moses Brown Football and Track

I just stumbled on this page and did not know you passed on. I was a year behind you at MB and always ran second place to you in the 100 + 220 yard dash. I remember blocking for you and always being in all. I am so sad to have just learned this. I am sorry. An incredible athlete and great guy.
