With Humble Admiration & Respect...

...I thank you for your service. I discovered you quite by accident, years ago, while searching for something re my Dad, who served in Vietnam during your time of service. My Dad's name, believe it or not, William David Lambert. You both were there at the same time - him Air Force, you Army. I just buried him last year (2023) after a long life of 94 years. I'm SO SORRY that your, and so many others, life got cut so short. I served much later, in the Gulf War. I salute you Sir, and your family.

Thank You

Dear PFC William Lambert, Thank you for your service as a Medical NCO. Thank you for the lives you saved. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering an American Hero

Dear PFC William David Lambert, Sir

As a fellow North Carolinian, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter (son of Sgt. Ardon William Carter, 101st Airborne, February 4, 1966, South Vietnam)
