Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Henry Raymond Lambert, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Your Angel Day

On this your angel day I humbly give thanks for your service and sacrifice and with honor I leave you this poem . . .

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

A Thank You to a Fallen Hero

My name is Brett DuBreuil, I am a senior at Bishop Hendricken High School and I am researching a fallen hero for a history project. I am honored to be researching a man like Henry Lambert. Anyone who is willing to serve and die for their country is a real hero and a role model. If anyone knows anything about Henry, please contact me, I'd really appreciate the help.

An inspiration to future generations

Dear Sir,
I am a student at Gridley High School and, as an assignment in my world history class, I am leaving remembrances for our country's fallen soldiers of the Vietnam War. You willing served, courageously fought, and shall be remembered in history as a hero forever. You have set an example for future generations of American citizens, and, by doing so, you have also inspired me to be the best I can be. It's amazing the commitment you showed for your country at such a young age, and I thank you wholeheartedly.
