Dear PFC Gary Ladd, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, today is Ash Wednesday. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels

Dear Uncle Gary, I’m your great great nephew. I never got to know you, and it’s been about half a century now, but I think about you very very often. I thought about you when I enlisted and almost daily being overseas. I think about you every time I’m reminded how grateful I am for the freedom and peace my generation can enjoy thanks to yours. I think about you when I remember how proud I am to be a Ladd. As long as I and my descendants live you will never ever be forgotten. Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.
