Wes
Went to school with Wes in Dallas, OR. Also worked with him when I was in High School.
We worked at Mr. Morlan's strawberry and string (pole) bean fields hefting long, heavy irrigation pipes over our heads to clear the tall poles the beans were climbing. This was just out of Dallas on W. Ellendale Ave. Lost touch with him and it was some years later, long after I'd been in VN that I heard of Wes' death.

My good friend
I met with Wes after his second tour at his home. I tried to talk him out of going there again but he seemed to miss the war and felt out of place at home. He did go back and walked into a booby trap. He is home again in the Dallas cematery. I still miss him. He was a close friend and together we created many good times and goofy stories .
