In Recognition
I just wanted to say thank you for all that you gave not only to America but also to me as an individual. Knowing that someone from the small town of Smithfield can make such a difference, such an impact, on others gives me the hope that someday maybe I too will be able to serve my fellow Americans as you did.

In Rememberance
At 17 years old, I can't imagine having the maturity of going into the chaos we call war for our country in just one more year. I am not ready to risk my life as I have not lived or experienced half of it yet. I have the utmost respect for men such as Paul LaBrecque who lost his life and opportunities before their life even really started. As a Rhode Island native, it makes me realize that anyone can go into war and risk something greater that anyone can ever buy; your life.
