USAFA Roommate

Mike and I were roommates at the Air Force Academy (Class of 1967, Cadet Squadron 24) for one semester.

Mike, we miss you...we had our 35th class reunion at the Academy last October. We had a memorial service for you and the others in our class who were killed in Viet Nam. We're all getting much older now, but you are not forgotten.

I hope somehow you know how much the country has come to appreciate the sacrifices you and others in the military have made. In the days that we served, it wasn't a very fashionable thing to do. You made the ultimate sacrifice so that the rest of us could live in peace.

9-29-72, 29 sad years ago

As the 29th anniversary of Mike's casualty nears, I remember a very special person. I also think of the state the world is in today and of Mike's son who is in the USAF. 9-29-72 is a date that I will never forget. God Bless America! Sarah (Blessing) Mueller (cousin of Mike's wife)

Quiet thoughts and prayer

On this 1999 Veterans Day, I am thinking of you and remembering the enormous sacrifice you made for our country. Your family is also included in my thoughts and prayers. I wish them well.
You and I never met. I came to know you through a proud member of your family, "Bo" as we served together in the same platoon. Every Veterans Day my family and I take a quiet moment to remember all veterans, especially those who gave their life in the service of our country. Respectfully,
Larry

someone who cares

I heard so much about you growing up. I was only 8 or 9 years old at the time, but your name was on the news quite a bit. Dawn
