Thank You
Dear WO Sherwood Kreis, Thank you for your service as an Utility Light Cargo Single Rotor Helicopter Pilot. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My friend and classmate
David and I grew up together. We went to the same grade school, and high school; I played football and David ran Cross Country. We were in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Air Explorers together. We both went to the same church and were confirmed together.
I was already home from Vietnam and just out of the Marines when Pastor Saffron called and asked if he could stop by. When he arrived, he told me that David had died in Nam and wanted some background info before visiting David's family and I told him I'd go with him if he wanted. One of the hardest things I've ever done. Miss you, my friend.

I heard your name
I was 12 years old the year you died. No one in the Kreis family spoke of it. You were my second cousin. I have lived in the D.C. area since 74 and have visited the wall many times not knowing you were there. I am so sorry you died. So young.
