honoring you....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Remembering Nick Kokalis US Army

I am sending a donation to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight in memory of a friend, former US Army buddie, and former local high school friend from South Milwaukee.
I took the Honor Flight in 2016 and honored Nick on the Wall at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington,DC. It was very difficult for me to say goodbye to a wonderful guy and good friend. God Bless you Nick !

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Nick Kokalis, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy New Year in heaven. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I'll always remember Nick's Smile, his Humor & Wit

I went down with Nick on a train from Milwaukee to Fort Knox when we first got drafted into the Army. We will always remember him because of his quick wit & his beaming smile.

I will be going on a "Never Forgotten Honor Flight" in 2016 to see his name on "The Wall" and honor him.

I will never forget him. He was a great guy !
