A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world

Ron, it's been 54 years since we walked into that ambush. That day still haunts me as does the loss of twelve other of our brothers. Every Memorial Day I post on Facebook the names of each of you that gave all for our country. You are still dear to my heart. Semper Fi Brother.

Dear PFC Ronald Koehler, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. I researched you on the 54th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy New Year in heaven. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Without people like you our great nation wouldn't exist. We can never truly repay the debt we owe our fallen heroes. Semper Fidelis! Rest in peace PFC. Koehler.
