Great Friend and Roommate

Roy, One of my greatest memories is going with you to visit your family in Hawaii for two weeks between our West Point Yearling and Cow years. Your family is one of the most talented, generous and patriotic families I have had the privilege to know. You were in the 1st Infantry Division and were killed while clearing the area for the 25th Infantry base camp in Cu Chi, to which I deployed some weeks later. Thank you for your friendship, service, dedication and ultimate sacrifice for your nation and its principles.

Thank You

Dear Captain Roy Kobayaski, Thank you for your service as a Combat Engineer Unit Commander, and for graduating from West Point. Your 54th anniversary is soon, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy New Year in heaven. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
