Thank You
Dear ,Sp4 Harry King, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. I did the research on you on your 49th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is almost Christmas. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering Harry C. King from Basic Training at Ft. Knox, Ky. B-16-4
I remember Harry as if it was yesterday, but it has been 49 years since we took basic training together. I remember one incident when they kept getting on Harry to get a hair cut. What did he do? Well, he shaved his head and them asked me to shave mine, but I knew that was not a very good idea since it would make us different from the rest of the platoon. Don't remember if he got in trouble for it, but I did get a good laugh when he tried to convince me to do it, too.
I was so sad to learn that he had been killed in VietNam in 1971 and visited the VietNam memorial in Frankfort, Ky and plan to go later in the summer to see his name again along with 2 other people I know who died there. One is another person from basic training and the other is a grade school classmate who is MIA. I fly the MIA/POW flag everyday in his honor. RIP Harry and you will never be forgotten by me.
