Family friend / Childhood hero / Fathers "Battle Buddy"
Paul served in Vietnam with my father SFC Dean L. Chiles. After first tour both were stationed in California where Paul spent part of the summer of 1969 living with us before leaving for a second tour of duty. My sister, brother and I became very attached to Paul and never forgot him. My father passed away in 2014 on the same day Paul was KIA November 11th...Veterans Day.
