OPERATION HIGHLAND
Today is tuesday Dec.12, 2000. 35 years,3mos & 12 days since the friday your family,I and the world lost you.
I still see the events of that very moment every day and night,in my dreams,nightmares and thoughts, just as I see the grass in my yard today.
I failed you and hope you will forgive me for not speaking to your family on October 18, 1965(a monday)as we packed to do when we were on the "GENERAL LEROY ELTINGE".
I understand now , why I could not on that monday.
You are a Honable American and Brave Paratrooper. I will say my prayers with you included.I hope I will one day be worthy of your forgiveness.
