Dear Sp4 Mitchell Kemp, Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. We are approaching Thanksgiving. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Mitchell was a year older than me and graduated from Fulton County High School in 1965. I remember that he visited Hickman before he deployed to Vietnam. He had bought a new 65 Mustang and was in uniform showing us his new car. He said that he would not be coming back from Vietnam, which was a premonition that came true. I attended his funeral in Hickman. Years later on visiting the Wall in D.C. I was able to find his name, made a rubbing and sent it to his parent back in KY.
