Most squared away Marine I met
Gunny Kemp and I served together in Nam and I was of 3 corpsman that attended him that day. He had the respect of all the Marines and was a tragic loss to Lima 3/26

Thank You
To a Navy Cross medal recipient and a fine person, I grew up with Mark. We served together at Marine Brks, Jacksonville FL. We also served our second tours with the 26th Marines. Mark, you were my friend and I still miss you. May PEACE be with you my friend.

Thank you GSGT Kemp
Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Marwick Leroy Kemp, for your courageous and valiant service, your years of faithfully contributing, and your most holy sacrifice given to this great country of ours!
Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore Marine, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!
Again, thank you Gunnery-Sergeant M.L. Kemp, for a job well done!
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE MY MARINE FRIEND

"Kemp"
I knew Marwick only as "Kemp," and first met him in bootcamp, Parris Island. He was a great guy, and very squared away. I think he made PFC right out of boot camp, and at 23, he had to be one of the youngest gunnery sergeants in the Corps. I'm sorry to see that there are no remembrances of him and want to add this little bit of information just to let his family know that he is remembered, and honored, by someone he served with.
