Friends of the Karas's
Having met the Karas's in Bonn, Germany, my parents (Larry and Carolyn White) spoke so highly of both Paul and Joyce. They became good friends and they had a lot of good times together. I remember they were so very shocked and saddened at the news of his death.
Thank you for your service, Maj Karas.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

Maj Paul R. Karas, USA - Memorial Day 2020 (Alexandria)
During a "clandestine, spontaneous happening" at the CPT Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day 2020, the "Friends of Rocky Versace" remembered Major Paul Richard Karas, U.S. Army, as well as Alexandria's 67 other Vietnam War Fallen Heroes.
