Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just six days before your 22nd birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear PFC Peter Kapas, Thank you for your service as a Construction Equipment Repairer. I researched you on the 49th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is All Souls’ Day, a day we remember all of you. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I had the honor of growing up with Pete, (almost neighbors ! .... about 3 miles !) We hung together for about 12 years, always hunting,fishing, and getting into trouble together.
The true irony of this was I was all Gung Ho to go to Vietnam, and charged off to join the Marines after High school. Pete was drafted, but he never made it home. Rest in peace,Brud....you're not forgotten

I really miss you Brud and you were such a wonderful, kind and caring person and had such a big heart! You are deeply missed by all the friends you had and especially Betty and I miss you dearly.

I really miss you Brud...you were the kindest and most compassionate person I ever knew!
