honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You
Dear Lcpl George Kapalu, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is All Souls’ Day, a day we remember all of you. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dirt Roads
I wish my last memories of us were the ones of us driving down the dirt roads in the cane fields on Maui at night, boosting gas from the sugar cane tankers, instead of the memory of you lying quiet and still surrounded by family and friends, and all our tears.

Remembering my friend
I served with George in the same platoon with Echo Company 2/7 in Nam. We were great friends and I miss him daily. One of my fond memories of George is when we went to subic bay, for training, before returning to nam. We all got to spend part of a day on a beach and how much he loved it. I can still picture him in his swimming trunks with that big smile of his. Miss you George.
