THE WALL OF FACES

I never knew James Kalil. He died 13 years before I was ever born. I only know him from the tombstone that I pass by as I go on walks in the cemetary with my girlfriend. Yet everytime I walk by, I stop and say a silent thank-you. I too, am 21 and have a hard time placing myself in his shoes. I feel a little guilty standing there with my whole life ahead of me, while he gave his so early. I have that privilige though, because of his sacrifice and men like him. All I can really say is thanks to him and his family for raising such a man.
