Barry was the first person to greet me when I got to my assigned hootch with HHC 27th Maint Bn, 1st Cav Div, AM. He had the bunk across from mine. We would sit and about the day’s activities. As time went on, he said he wanted more for his time, and had volunteered to be a door gunner on a helicopter. The news that his chopper had been shot down and he lost his life. Even though our time together was short, I’ll always remember that Berry will forever more my friend. Eddie Cox
