honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Kathy Rea is poignant and harkens back to the carefree days of our youth. Sadly, those days ended much too soon for you. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….

Summer of '64
High school crush. We dated one spring/summer. Usually double-dates in the back of your buddy Marc’s Caravelle convertible. What a great smile you had! And the most beautiful icy, pale-blue eyes. You sent lonesome letters from your forestry job that summer in Centerville, fearing you had carried your jinx on the weather to PA. You left thoughtful, poetic words in my yearbook for me to memorize. So bright. So much potential. You were taken way too young, Dave. Along with so many others of our generation. Relationship and life short-lived. But lasting long enough to leave a meaningful impression and a few sweet memories for a young girl.

We Have Not Forgotten
Your Brothers Of Michigan State's Phi Gamma Delta have not forgotten. You joined us in the fall of 1965 and you were liked by all who knew you. You didn't return after the spring of 1967 and I for one felt a sense of loss. Then we heard you lost your life in August of 1968 in Vietnam. We were shocked and sadden. May you enjoy eternal life and our thoughts and prayers are with your friends and love ones.
