DEAR SPEC 4 ADAMS,
THANK FOR YOUR SERVICE. MY HUSBAND PASSED ON YOUR BIRTHDAY, OVER A HALF CENTURY AFTER YOUR BIRTH. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT GOOD THINGS CAN ALSO HAPPEN ON DAYS THAT CAN BE PAINFUL.
REST IN PEACE.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Richard Lee Adams, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

My Hero
Hey Mickey. I keep you in my heart everyday. I think about you often and I love you and miss you. You're my big brother and a true warrior. I think of all the times we played baseball together and the '57 Chevy we used to cruise in and check out the girls. Wish we could do it again. Maybe some day we will. My heart aches. Wish we could have said good-bye. Love you very much.
