Memorial weekend 2014

Just found this awesome sight from Len's post he shared from Judy. Jimmy, so many wonderful memories as we were growing up. Visits with my cousins on the farm were some of the best times of my childhood. I love and miss you so much and think of you often. I know we lost you on that awful day but I want you to know how much I respect and honor you for fighting for freedom, our country, and our family. Praying for your mom and sisters and all of us who love and miss you on this special weekend!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC James Kenneth Johnson, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Birthday wishes

Birthday remembrances are sent to Heaven today on what would have been my brother James Kenneth Johnson's 64th birthday. Today as well as every day,I remember the boy who liked his cars loud and fast, who ate each bite of his ice cream sandwiched between two fudge striped cookies and loved the song "House if the Rising Sun." He also had dimples that were irresistible. He knows our pain and our joy. I know without a doubt he is with us watching and protecting.
