do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Your life mattered.

I was a dependent child in 1975 living a Clark AFB. MSGT Johnson and his family lived next door to us. I remember him as a friendly person. I remember the day he was killed and the shock it caused in our community. I know MSGT Johnson died doing what he did best, taking care of others. MSGT Johnson, your life mattered.

Thank You

Dear Msgt Denning Johnson, Thank you for your service as a Medical Service Technician. Thank you for the lives you saved. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's now autumn. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

"She" was lost too.

The Brodin maquette of the sculpture of a US Army Nurse Corps nurse traveled the country & foreign military installations starting in 1974 intending to raise funds & awareness of the plan/hope to place a 7' version at the "Wall." It was not to be; the reasons are confusing and sad; however, with VWC-50, "She's" back, & the last signed maquette is in Hawaii where She will be permanently placed.
There must be people out there who remember Her and have wondered where She went. One of Her is in WI, one in Bakersfield, CA & this one will be on Oahu.
