My buddy from Wells
I remember you turning to me and saying "Doc they need you up front", never thinking it would be the last time I would see you alive. I think of you often.Every year on 4/13 whoever I'm with we have a toast to you , done it every year since 1970. My grandson Cash was born on April 13, 2015, when he is old enough I will give him the Silver Star I received that day. It was a bad day along with you 18 other soldiers lost there lives that day, I was done but still had 4 1/2 months to go, wish I had stayed with you , you never know.

My buddy Bruce
I remember you turning to me and saying, Doc they need you up front, never thinking it would be the last time I would see you alive. I think about you often and all the laughs we used to have on track 28. You being from Wells and me being from Brooklyn and telling you there are more people living in my apartment building then live in your whole town, you looked at me and said "how many people live in your building". April 13th was a tough day you and 18 others were KIA that day. I was done after that day but still had 4 1/2 months to. Spoke to your mom a few times, such a sweet lady. Every year since I'm home whoever I'm with we have a toast for you on 4/13, my grandson Cash was born on April 13, 2015, when he's old enough, I'll give him the Silver Star I received for that day. Sorry I wasn't with you , maybe.

honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You
Dear Sgt Bruce Johnson, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's the end of summer. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
