I was with Juan when he was hit. I put him in a body bag and stayed with Juan until I put his body on a helicopter the next morning. He was a very, very dear friend

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. It remains my fervent hope you will be returned home after the passage of so many years.

Not sure where I read it, but I did read that Juan's body was last seen at the helo pad, which of course would be near or attached to the main air strip. He had been declared dead by the Battalion Surgeon (no name attached). Other documents list his loss at 15 degrees 26 min 17? North and 107 degrees 47 min 48? East. We fervently pray for Juan's recovery.

Juan Jimenez is currently (4/15/2021) being carried as deferred category. That means his case is assessed to have no new and/or viable leads, or have restrictions to site access which make field operations impractical.
