Thank You

Dear PFC Larry Jenkins, I hope your photo is put here because this wall of faces is missing yours. Thank you for your service as a Heavy Vehicle Driver. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's the end of summer. The time passes quickly. It is the anniversary of Terror Attacks against America, and it is too sad. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

We Remember

Larry was a member of my Platoon (2/A/1-4 Cav). It was a sad day when he was killed by a mine that was set off by my TC William Gregory. These 2 and 2 others died that day. Many others were wounded in the blast. I wish that I had a picture to contribute for his page but sadly I don’t. June 9 is especially a day of reflection on their loss. RIP Larry!!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Larry Rufus Jenkins, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
