Still miss you old friend

Graduated from Pacelli High School, Stevens Point, WI with John in 1964. We were close friends and ran into each other at a local watering hole while we were both on leave in the late 60's. I'll never forget him.

Bronze Star Medal Awards for Valor and Merit

Chief Warrant Officer John Anthony Jelich was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as a Helicopter Pilot and was assigned to D CO, 229TH ASLT HELO BN, 11TH AVN GROUP, 1ST CAV DIV.
