honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 21 years of age on my 17th birthday. I am now 73 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You
Dear PFC Jack James, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's the end of summer and yesterday was Labor Day. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Jack was a wonderful brother, sometimes a pain in the ass, sometimes a lovable rascal. We were close in age. When we were kids our hero was Frank and Jessie James! I was a tomboy so whatever he did I also did, He had his 21st birthday in boot camp. and then sent straight to Vietnam. What a terrible war. This was a terrible time in our countries history My Mother was bitter and so sad for the rest of her life, I am sure it is understandable. the lose of your child is something you can never get over. She is now resting with him. At the time of my marriage my father was not in the picture and so Jack gave me away. The only picture we had of him in uniform he had taken at one of those booths, 4 photos for 25 cents. he was only in Vietnam for 3 months. since his death his grave has been decorated every Memorial day.
