STILL THINK OF YOU
It's been a long while since I've written a remembrance. I still wear my MIA bracelet which honors you. Never forgotten.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULY 13TH
Happy birthday Dad. I was finally able to get as close to you as I could, standing on the coast of Thanh Hoa Province, 2 miles from where your plane lost radar contact that night in 1967. I laid flowers for you and your crew, (BoisClaire and Zavocky). How I wish I knew you, but with the help of my husband Dave, he made it possible to know the Dad I never grew up with. You are my reason for pushing forward and finding answers to the void that I feel inside for 57 years. Love you Dad... and I know you are watching over me. Your youngest daughter, Jean

Thank you, sir, for your sacrifice, You have become my 2nd MIA Service man following.
I recently have become a daily follower or Mission POW/MIA thanks to your wonder daughter and her husband's wok to bring all our MIA's home. I followed their adventures trip to Vietnam in search of answers for many of the families, I was so moved by her standing on the beach in Vietnam to be so close to you, I know you felt her and Dave's presence there. Rest in Peace till you return to the USA.

An Officer and a Gentleman
Mr. Jacobs,
I’ve never forgotten your kindness to me when I flew in your crew. Along with the many other ways you showed respect for your crew members, you and your wife even took time to drive me home, off base, after we returned from a month long detachment, and I didn’t have a way to get home.
In reading your daughter’s post on your memorial, I have hope that your plane has been located after all these years.
I want so much to learn how it came about.
For me, It brings so much anticipation of a possible recovery, and possibly being among members of your family and others who knew you, to welcome you, your navigator Ltjg Zavocky, and your third crewman, Ron BoisClaire all back home.
You and your crew have not been forgotten Sir.

The search for my Dad
To my Dad... It has been too many years of waiting for answers. In Nov 2023 we met with the DPAA in DC for a full case review. Recent news came of your status going from the non-recoverable category to active pursuit. The road ahead looks brighter but so much more work to do to bring you and your crew home. Waiting in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, 2 miles offshore in 70 feet of water doesn't seem like a difficult task. We will see who will step in and make this happen. I never knew you, being only 2 weeks olds when you left for Vietnam, with 56 years of filling a deep loss within me. You have always been my hero and my strength to never stop searching. Love you, Jean
